Which Camera Better Nikon Or Canon – The Canon vs Nikon debate has been going on for years, and although you could argue that it is now Canon Vs. Nikon vs. Sony, I don’t think I’m ready to deal with this big argument. However, I have this week
I finally decided to write something about the long standing classic game because I finally found a Zen-like light about it.
Which Camera Better Nikon Or Canon
I myself am a Canon user and have been throughout my career, but to assure Nikon users that this will not be an unfair battle I will start by saying that Canon’s recent camera releases have not excellence. We’ll get into that later in this post, but I want to make it clear that I’m not going to stick to camp canon and pretend everything is colorful.
Nikon Vs. Canon
In the few weeks before writing this article, we received important announcements from Canon and Nikon. On paper, the new Nikon D850 appears to be the best DSLR ever released. It combines the Nikon D5’s fast autofocus system with a fast frame rate and a nearly 50MP sensor. It also introduces new features such as a BSI sensor, 8k time-lapse mode, and a unique and innovative focus feature that will make macro and portrait photographers a bubble model. More than any other camera I’ve seen, this one has something for everyone. Nikon has an excellent track record of high ISO performance and dynamic range, so I’m sure this will be a big hit.
While Canon didn’t launch a new DSLR this week, they didn’t add one, however, to the range of lenses they already developed.
The new L-series lens. 85mm f/1.4 L IS and three new prime shift lenses (50mm, 90mm, 135mm).
These two releases from the two categories are really asking me not to be strong and strong for me and they are not strong in the end thinking about this issue in general. Nikon has been the ISO king for some time, and the Nikon D810 has set new standards for the range of capabilities we can expect from a DSLR. Canon always seems to be catching up when it comes to cameras, and not in a way that can only be explained by its release schedule. They seem content to just try to keep up with the best existing competition, instead of worrying about big new things. The 5D Mark IV is a great camera and I was happy to read about it and then experience the improved range it has achieved using the latest sensor technology. In this area it was a day/night difference for the 5D Mark III, but it still hasn’t matched Nikon’s DR of several years.
Nikon Vs. Canon: How To Choose
To make matters worse, the 6D Mark II appears to retain the legacy sensor technology, so while Canon’s mid-range fans expect the 5D’s improved performance, it just isn’t found in the 6D Mark II. In my eyes this is one of Canon’s biggest mistakes in the last decade and something that reminds me again of the difference in the way Canon and Nikon make new products at the moment. As every review points out, the 6D Mark II is not a bad camera that takes bad pictures, it’s nothing new. Absolutely.
So why am I still a Canon user? I want to shoot with the Nikon D850, but there is one main thing that keeps me loyal to Canon: the lens.
Canon’s lens development department seems to operate on a different level than their camera department and they have released a series of new lens innovations over the past decade. Unlike their line of cameras, Canon does not seem content to only match (or approximate) existing models from other manufacturers when it launches a new lens. Instead, they are innovative, and this is the only thing that has not been said about their DSLRs since the introduction of HD video recording in the 5D Mark II. When it comes to lenses, Nikon usually takes the lead, and in most cases it lasts a hell of a long time.
2009 – Canon 17mm f/4 L TS-E – The largest interchangeable lens available. In 2017, Nikon finally released a wide-angle lens, but only 19mm.
Professional Cameras: Impressive Purchase Options From Nikon, Sony, Canon, And Many More
2009 – Canon 100mm f/2.8 L IS Macro – First lens with hybrid image stabilization to simultaneously compensate for angular and camera shake.
2011 – Canon 8-15mm f/4 L Fisheye – First fisheye zoom lens to offer a full 180 degree field of view on both full frame and APS-C cameras. Nikon finally released an 8-15mm prime lens in 2017.
2012 – Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM Pancake Lens – They don’t have to be expensive lenses. The little 40mm pancake lens always makes me smile when I put it on my camera.
2013 – Canon 200-400 f/4 L IS 1.4x – First super telephoto lens with built-in 1.4x intensifier. Nikon copied this idea and released their own version, but it took Canon 5 years to get to market.
Eye Autofocus Tested: Fujifilm Is Worse Vs Sony Vs Canon Vs Nikon… But…
2015 – Canon 11-24 f/4 L – The best full-frame lens on the market for Canon or Nikon. Not only wide, but also amazing.
2016 – Canon 400mm f/4 DO II – The only 400mm lens with splitters and because of its small size is probably my favorite Canon lens on the market right now. Nikon also has something similar on the way now, but the large telephoto lens with optical optics has been in Canon’s lineup for 17 years.
2016 – Canon 28mm STM Macro – First lens with a built-in ring light on the front.
2016 – Canon 70-300 f/4.5-5.6 IS II – First DSLR lens with LCD display to show focal length and depth of field.
Dslr Vs Mirrorless Cameras In 2022
2017 – New TS-E Macro Lenses – Yes, the first Nikon had a 2:1 tilt lens, but instead of just standardizing them, Canon went one step further and added the 135mm f/4 TS-E Macro, tilt. with the longest focal length lens between the two competing models, it brings Canon’s total to five TS-E lenses.
2019? – 600mm f/4 DO IS – Canon has already shown off models of the 600mm DO lens that is expected to be released in the next few years, saving a ton of size and weight from its 600mm lens design. custom.
These are the latest innovations I’m listing here, not even considering the updates to the 24-70 f/2.8 L II and 100-400 L IS II that take lens sharpness to a whole new level.
Of course there are other Nikkor lenses I would like to see in the Canon range, such as the 28mm f/1.4, but overall the Nikkor lens group has done little to innovate in recent years. Even the new flagship 70-200 f / 2.8 VR3 from 2016 was met with confused faces from many people when they changed the focus and zoom ring, which leads to some important maintenance issues.
Best Dslr Cameras In 2021: Digital Photography Review
When you look at the latest releases of Canon lenses and the latest Nikon cameras, the choice is simple: do you want the opportunity to own the best lenses or the best cameras? I realize that Nikon generally makes powerful cameras these days, but Canon’s lens division is doing very well. So what do you prefer? Nikon makes a few “bad” lenses, just as Canon makes a few “bad” cameras, but what part of the puzzle will encourage or enable photography? You must ask yourself that.
I own many of the Canon lenses listed above and enjoy the new lens design that pushes the optical boundaries. When I find a new lens that gives me new capabilities, I walk around with it attached to my camera for months, exploring new possibilities and discovering ways to create images that were previously impossible for me. When I get a new camera, it just feels like a new tool. I feel good for about a day, then I move on. Because of this, I feel comfortable with the Canon brand.
How do you react to a new lens or camera? Understanding that is probably the key to making your choice between these two products.
