Was in theaters ten years ago, major changes had to be made to the main villain’s voice. Hear what he originally looked like:

The 2012 film closed the curtain on Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, with Batman (Christian Bale) returning to save the world from Bane (Tom Hardy) and his band of mercenaries.
When the film was released, the film received rave reviews from fans and critics alike. But it wasn’t always like that.
During an early IMAX screening of the film in 2011, audiences complained that they couldn’t understand a word Bane said during the entire event.
In footage from the show, the muscular villain’s dialogue is actually quite garbled – which makes sense to me, considering his character wears a big old mask.

But in response to criticism, Nolan and his team re-dubbed the film before it was officially released, making his speech much clearer.
Speaking to Wired about the origins of his character’s menacing voice, Hardy said it was a creation he and the director had been working on.
The 44-year-old told the site: “That was actually a really cool choice that Chris [Nolan] made. Bane is basically Latino… and I’m not. So I looked at the concept of Latino and I found a guy called Bartley Gorman who is a gypsy gypsy The king of the gypsies, in quotes, is a tough fighter and a boxer.
“And he said [in a Bane-like voice]: ‘If I get in a ring with a man and we want to wipe you off the face of the earth, and he wants to kill me.’

“And I thought, ‘That’s great.’ And I showed it to Chris. I said, ‘Chris, we can either go a Darth Vader route, with straight-up deceptive voice with a neutral tone, or we can try this. And here’s what I’ve been thinking, in case we have to consider Bane’s roots and origins, but we can laugh at it, it might be something we regret, but ultimately it’s your choice.”
“He’s like, ‘No, I think we agree.’ And that was it. And we played with it and made it a little smoother, and now people love it.”
The film could also have been very different if Heath Ledger, who sadly passed away in 2008, had not died prematurely.
– the documentary about the life and death of her brother – the actor’s sister, Kate Ledger, confirmed that he really wanted to return to Gotham City.

“He was very proud of what he had done in Batman. And I know he had plans for another Batman.
“When he came home for Christmas, he couldn’t wait to tell us all about it, and he made noises and laughed, and showed me all the rushes. We had a great time.”

Tom Hardy knows a thing or two about body transformations. He also knows that they are not easy. Throughout his career, the Academy Award-nominated actor has been putting on muscle to play a mixed martial artist.
Hardy transformed himself into one of the most physically dominant villains of all time with his training, doing four training sessions a day to add over 30 pounds of mass, muscle and strength. Hardy really looked like the superpowered mastermind who broke Batman’s back, but as he recently discovered, that transformation came at a price.
“I think you’re paying the price with drastic physical changes,” Hardy told The Daily Beast in an interview. “It was good when I was younger… but I think when you’re in your 40s you have to be more aware of training fast, packing on a lot of weight and getting fit, and then not having time to enough to continue training because you’re filming, so your body is swimming in two different directions at the same time… I haven’t hurt my body, but I’m definitely in more pain than I used to be! I definitely have keys that click that probably shouldn’t click, see what I mean? And holding my kids is a little harder than it used to be, but don’t tell them!”

While Bane and Batman are (probably) in the past for Hardy, more body transformations may be on the way. Hardy signed up for more
Sequels, and he recently landed a deal to play an aging Al Capone in a new Josh Trank film.
“It’s not the classic Al Capone that you necessarily imagine with the silhouette,” he said in the interview. “I don’t want to say too much about it, but there’s definitely a transformation with that role. I don’t know if it’s as drastic as Bane. Maybe I did too much damage to my body. I’m only small! If I keep gaining weight, I’m going to collapse like a house of cards under a lot of pressure.” Genelia Deshmukh shares how she lost 4kg in 6 weeks, says: ‘I started with a lot of doubts’

How much did Tom Hardy earn for his role? The actor gained more than 30 kilograms, which is over 13 kg for his role as Bane. He managed to gain so much weight in a short time – more than 3 months – by doing circuit training that involved his core body parts where he could build muscle.
What is the circuit training that Tom went to? Tom chose a workout with seven, then five, and finally three repetitions:
You should position your hands so that they are ‘square’ with your shoulders. Keep your elbows in as you move down your torso to fire up your triceps.
You should place your hands wide so that your chest, arms and floor form a rectangle.

We should place our hands wide, then spread our fingers while lowering the body, and then turn outwards.
Get into a wrist pushup position with both arms shoulder width apart. Then the chest should be lowered to the floor, while the elbows bend back like the legs of a shrimp.
Tom also went for an intensive 4-day program that targeted his arm, chest, shoulders, back, legs and abs.
The actor had to look “as big as possible for his role as Bane. Tom had revealed that he was already overweight at the time, almost 90kg when they shot the film.

While preparing for his role, Tom had to eat as much pizza as possible. In addition, he was given a strict diet plan to follow with a variety of supplements to take. Some of them include:
Whey Protein: This builds muscle growth as it repairs muscles and prevents severe post-workout soreness.
Tom also had to eat a variety of protein-rich dishes that could be made substantial and ready to take on the character of Bane in no time. These include adequate amounts of rice, vegetables, fruit, chicken, tuna, milk and oats.
