If you have an HP LaserJet 4250n printer or even similar computer printers, you will eventually run out of ink. Printing from your computer is simple and easy until you run out of toner. Then it gets expensive and a bit messy 🙂
The article I wrote will teach you how to change the laser toner cartridge in this Hewlet Packard printer.
Take the toner cartridge out of its package and shake it a little. The ink inside the cartridge is actually dry and powdery. It is not a liquid. Shaking it a bit will flatten and loosen the toner powder so that it flows easily into the printer.
After removing and shaking the ink cartridge from the printer, you will notice that it usually has paper and plastic covers. These caps keep the ink stable and secure inside the cartridge until it is ready to be used. You will need to remove them before inserting the cartridge into the printer.
Replace Ink Cartridges
For this particular box, you can start by removing the paper covering the front of the ink cartridge. Usually this is a tab or marked area on the lid where you can pull on it.
When you do this, be a little careful, especially if you’re wearing a light-colored shirt. Interior paint is usually a dry powder and travels easily in the air. If you are too rough when removing the covers and if there is some paint on the cover, it may get a little smudged.
I’m sure it has a more official name, but we’ll just call it “inner cover” just because I’m too dumb to know the right word 🙂
Large ink cartridges also often have a strip of plastic running through the inside. You will see a tab sticking out of the side of the ink cartridge. Grasp the tab and gently but firmly pull the tab out. Don’t pull the tab too hard or you risk breaking it. You should also back up a bit when you pull it out. If for any reason you are outdoors or in a windy environment (such as a fan), make sure the tab you are pulling is facing into the wind. Seriously, there’s probably some dried paint on this “inner cover”. Removal is easy, but it’s just a flimsy piece of plastic, if it hits you, you’ll probably get paint on your clothes.
Remove And Reinstall The Indicated Cartridge” Hp 302 & Hp 304 Symbols
The rest of this is much easier. Go ahead and open the lid that houses the old cartridge. For Hewlet Packard HP Laserjet 4250n, make sure to open the top cover and not the door just below the top cover. I let myself be fooled by this every time. If you see the old toner cartridge (or a giant empty space if the printer never had a cartridge to begin with), you’re in the right place.
Removing old paint is easy to do. Go ahead and grab it and pull it slightly up and towards you. It should come out with no problem.
Then take the cartridge you just unpacked and put it in the printer. Insert it the same way you removed the old one. It should fit comfortably and easily.
If you have inserted the ink correctly, the lid/door will close very easily. If you find that the printer switch does not close all the way, you probably did not push the ink cartridge all the way in.
Replace The Toner Collection Unit
After closing the door, you will hear the printer running on its own for a minute and then stop. You should be good to go at this point.
I hope this helps you replace the ink in your HP Laserjet 4250n printer! Thanks for stopping by. Before you begin HP 3630 Step-by-Step Ink Replacement Instructions 1. First, buy new, original HP ink cartridges.
Get them at many office supply stores like Staples and OfficeMax, places with larger electronics stores like Walmart. Or you can buy them directly from the HP online store. In addition, HP also offers printer cartridge recycling services, which we highly recommend you use. Don’t throw old ink cartridges in the trash.
Finally, touch any grounded metal to remove any static buildup. Why? Because if you don’t, you risk damaging the new ink cartridges or the printer itself.

See this in the following image. You now have two small snap clips in the top left and right corners. So grab these latches and then gently pull them towards you with your index fingers.
Next, locate this door just inside the front exterior entry panel. Now behind this door are the printer ink cartridges.

Be very careful because gold contacts are delicate. See them in the last photo, on the exposed plinth on the right. Scratching them can result in poor printing, light printing, missing colors on the page, etc.
But don’t remove this tape until you are ready to install it. Why? Because opening cartridges and leaving them uninstalled risks ink leaks, dust contamination,
