How To Scan From Hp Printer To Mac – Question: I am using an HP Envy 4500 wireless printer and I cannot scan to the computer. When I try to scan my documents to my computer it says “scan to computer is not available at this time”. I don’t know how to activate the HP Envy 4500 Scan to PC feature. I am not sure how to check PC scan option in Windows 10. asking for help!!
Answer: Sometimes the HP Envy printer prints documents from the computer and the copier works fine, but the scanning part does not work. This is not the problem with the HP Envy 4500 printer. There is a problem with computer services and drivers.
How To Scan From Hp Printer To Mac
If you press the SCAN button on the printer and it shows “Unable to scan HP Envy 4500 to PC”, it means that the PC service is down. Your printer cannot communicate with computer services.msc.

Note: If the HP Envy 4500 Scan to PC does not turn on after performing these troubleshooting steps, you will need to repair the PC service. Sometimes printconfig.dllfile has problems while scanning on the computer. So you can delete this file from C:WindowsSystem32sooldriversx643. Hope this solves your problem. Otherwise you can contact HP Chat Support or HP Printer Support.

In an updated support document, Apple has indicated that a permission error has been fixed when using the scanner on a Mac since macOS 11.6.
When trying to use the scanner with a Mac, Apple said users may have received an error message saying they don’t have permission to open the app. The error message says to contact your computer or network administrator for help, or it indicates that the Mac was unable to open a connection to the device.

According to Apple, users may have encountered errors in the Photos app, the Preview app, or in the Printers & Scanners section of System Settings.
For users who choose not to update to macOS 11.6 right now, Apple has already shared step-by-step instructions on how to fix the temporary issue:
I get the same error every time I open Office or Flume since about 2 major updates
This is why Apple should include actual release notes in updates. Get notified in a few weeks via the support document.

Well, now my office scanner is working. More than one problem, this update broke Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. Now every time I open Adobe I get a license error. I have to use this app to do my job.
I gave up using the scanner after all the hassle, but I didn’t really use it that much. After the update, it was up to Dice whether it would work again without updating its software or wait for a fix.

But they themselves may not realize it’s a problem, PinkyMacGodess said. Seriously… Click to expand… Huh? They agreed to fix this in the next release, so why not put it in the release notes?

One thing I wish they would fix is the ability to connect the M1 Mac to 3D printers. There is no support yet. I tried ch340 driver. Unfortunately, it only supports Intel Macs. I really want to connect to my 3D printer with a cable, not flash
Because maybe they knew about it?” said Pinky McGods. Click to expand… You don’t make sense… It was confirmed that this bug is before 11.6 by Apple, they said it will be fixed in the next version and then they released 11.6 Released without notes. Another standard “bug fixes and general improvements” message they use all the time. Do you think it was magically fixed in 11.6 and they didn’t QA their work and were surprised to find out by accident that it was fixed?
I’ve found it easy to fix license issues, especially for the HP Scanner 3. Just search for the program (it’s in Mac HD–> Library–> Imaging–> Tools-> HP Scanner 3), right-click or control-click the program, then select “Open” – It prompts you to open it and then lets it open without prompting.

Is it just for HP scanners? HP printers have had this error since big red and without resolution!

FYI: VuScan software https://www.hamrick.com/ works with almost any scanner. It’s not very user-friendly, but once you dial it in, it does a pretty good job.

My Epson scanner from MacOS 10.5 gives error -21345. The solution described above (click on the program in /Library/Imape Capture) does not fix this problem, but reinstalling the Epson software with each MacOS software update does.
Appreciate everything…finally my scanner is working on the big red…just hope it doesn’t happen again with Monterey…
It annoys me that my old Canon printer/scanner works in the Windows 10/12 vm but OS X sees it start scanning and then crashes until reboot. This is probably a common issue, but I needed to vent my frustration about this somewhere

Ways To Fix Hp Printer Won’t Scan In Windows 10
I’ve only read this extensively, but I can say that the scanner has always been a PITA with the Mac. I have always had HP scanners and my history started with the most expensive flatbed scanner I have ever owned. Eventually Apple/HP stopped trying to support them. The next scanner I bought was a really nice, all glass, great freestanding scanner, and it lasted a year or so, then the next scanner, *POOP* doesn’t work with every update, or does a lot of redoing, or waits Stay up to most software support. Sometimes I got an expensive all-in-one, and it had features that came out of it, and most of them didn’t work/didn’t work, and the same fun started with the update and it didn’t work. did . . It works on me now, but refuses to scan the wife. (He actually thinks it works for me because he’s afraid of what will happen if he fails. Deleted)
I’ve had several printers that didn’t work after an update, but I had one customer that had to re-download all their drivers, and I had to reset the printer software system on the Mac at least a few times a day.
So Apple has trouble testing its updates. Apple has a problem with their contract developers (most likely) breaking things that used to work. Apple is guilty of many things, and the attention to detail in “their” software testing and updates is one of the biggest in my mind. So the permission errors when trying to scan make me laugh. Apple can’t seem to learn from its massive mess of previous versions of macOS.
So how come I’m not aware that “how software development works” is somehow available, isn’t it?
